Fish was fried perfect and my sides were great. Nice atmosphere and the staff was excellent. Too full to try anything out of the dessert case, but everything looks great. We will definitely be back!!

Left a negative review on Facebook and this is the reply I received. Very weird...Overpriced and wait is long... during my visit actually had a guy ask me if I waited as long as he had for my food.

Stopped in for a late lunch and ordered the fried oysters and oxtail wontons - I was intrigued by this menu item. It comes with 5 per order. Both choices were more than satisfying. In fact, I planned just to sample a bit as I drove home but ending up INHALING half the order - whoops! Guess I was hungry? I stopped myself so I could leave a "few" for the hubby to try since he's also an oyster fan. The hush puppies were quite flavorful too.
The restaurant was slightly bigger than I anticipated and very clean inside. I was expecting more of a hole in the wall but there's a decent amount of seating inside (because, you know, fried food is way better eaten right away!)
Slightly disappointed that they don't serve calamari but I was told it was on an earlier version of the menu but it apparently wasn't a popular item.
It's a quick drive from the airport (only 9 miles) so stop by if you're in the area. -

I'll tell you this... in my four years of being in Jacksonville I've finally found a place that can fry catfish! Game damn over!!! Fried to perfection I was served 2 nice sized pieces along with collard greens that made me look in the back to see if my great grandmother was in the kitchen. The potato salad was the best I've had from a restaurant ever. The hushpuppies were perfect; full of flavor and soft. The service was great and fast. This place is perfect for Sunday dinners when no one wants to cook at home.

First visit today and it went well.
Walked into a clean, quiet place, almost thought they were closed but looks like I got lucky and came in after the lunch rush.
Checked out the menu and decided to try the Shrimp and Grits.
Yea, it's very good. The shrimp was nicely done, sweet and tender, not overcooked with a light dusting of Old Bay seasoning. The gravy and the grits were on point. Rich, creamy and right amount of salty, savory goodness. I added hot sauce, though, cuz that's how I roll :)
I'll definitely be back. I wanna try the rest of menu items.
